Jacques Genet, owner of the domain, became Charles Joguet’s partner back in 1985. At the time, they created a farming company (société civile d’exploitation agricole, SCEA) in order to develop, organize, and above all perpetuate the work accomplished until then by Charles Joguet.
In addition to a couple of acres of vines on the lovely Monplaisir hillside, whose soil closely resembles that of Chêne Vert, Jacques Genet brought with him the land he owned in Beaumont-en-Véron, where two dozen acres of Cabernet Franc were planted in the years that followed.
For nearly two decades, he has spearheaded the domain’s efforts to
improve the quality of its wines, year after year. |

Alain Delaunay, a long-time friend of Jacques Genet, joined the team in 1986. His experience as a cellarman and his culinary talent are the proof of his love of good wine and good food.
This jovial man manages the commercial activities of the domain with an infectious enthusiasm and passion.
He is a demanding wine taster, and works in perfect harmony with Jacques Genet and François-Xavier Barc to determine the improvements that must always be made concerning the cultivation of the vines and to the winemaking process. |

François-Xavier Barc is truly an expert especially when it comes to the vine and to wine: cellar master, he also turns his talents and expert eye to the vine, with the complicity of Luc Conte, chief wine grower, at the domain since 1988.
After dual training in viticulture-oenology and the wine and spirits trade, François-Xavier multiplied his experience, primarily in Sancerre, at Château Angelus and again in California.
He joined the domain in 1998, first as wine grower, then as an assistant to Alain Delaunay in marketing the wine, also participating, as a quality manager, in the vinification process and in vine growing, alongside Michel Pinard.
An exacting, enthusiastic and friendly wine taster, François-Xavier calls upon all his expertise to take the domain's wine as high and as far as possible. |
Jacques Genet, Alain Delaunay and François-Xavier Barc are assisted by a team of first-class men and women who are devoted to the domain and whose work shows a deep respect for the land and wine. Most of them have been working here for several years. Day in day out, these individuals display all the courage, talent, and imagination needed to produce and sell wine of the highest quality. Rain or shine, they give their best to the vines, with so much to show for it.
