Tasting notes
Like the Varennes of the same year, it lacks depth, even though it has greater density.
It deserved to be drunk younger, no more than ten years of age.

1987 harvest
Fine sunshine for this vintage, with a fabulous early September, pretty much ruined when harvesting began on 13 October under a driving rain.
Despite everything, rot remained moderate, to produce pleasant, well-structured wines. |
